The Jamaica Mixed Martial Arts Sports (JMMAS) is the IMMAF standards compliant body for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in Jamaica. As an IMMAF standards compliant participant, JMMAS operates under the global framework established by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) — the world governing body for amateur MMA.

The Jamaica Mixed Martial Arts Sports (JMMAS) upholds and enforces IMMAF standards in their entirety, ensuring full compliance in the practice, administration, and governance of Mixed Martial Arts across Jamaica. Operating under the global framework established by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) — the world governing body for amateur MMA — JMMAS is steadfast in its commitment to advancing the sport in Jamaica in alignment with the highest international benchmarks. JMMAS is committed to developing the sport of MMA in Jamaica at every level — from grassroots community programmes to elite competition on the international stage. We produce D'Coliseum, Jamaica's premier MMA event series, and provide pathways for Jamaican athletes to compete at IMMAF Regional and World Championships.

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation — the world governing body for amateur MMA (IMMAF) is the global governing body for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Founded on February 29, 2012, IMMAF acts as the international governing body for MMA, working to develop a common set of rules, safety regulations and structure for the sport worldwide.

IMMAF organises elite amateur nations tournaments all over the world, through its flagship World and Continental Championships for Seniors, Juniors and Youths from the ages of 10 years upwards. IMMAF Championships bring together National Teams from member affiliates all over the world, creating a hub and platform for ongoing sport development.

IMMAF is a democratic organisation based on the foundation of open, honest and collaborative practices. IMMAF is a non-profit organisation driven by the purpose of developing MMA as a sport. With 132 national member nations and four confederations, IMMAF has advanced programs for the education and certification of MMA coaches, referees, and other technical officials.

IMMAF is the only legitimate international governing body for MMA approved by WADA, working to gain sport recognition and see MMA into the Olympic Games.

All athletes must comply with the WADA Prohibited List. Athletes are responsible for any prohibited substances found in their bodies.

Athletes can be tested 365 days a year both in and out of competition. The ITA manages testing independently for IMMAF.

Athletes with medical needs for prohibited substances must apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption before competing.

JMMAS operates a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination or exploitation. All violations are treated with the utmost seriousness.

Strict child protection protocols are in place for all JMMAS events and activities, aligned with IMMAF's policies for athletes under 18.

All JMMAS events require certified medical staff. Athlete health and safety is the highest priority in all competition and training environments.

All safeguarding concerns are treated confidentially and investigated thoroughly. No concern is too small to report.

Register as an official JMMAS athlete. Compete in D'Coliseum events and access the IMMAF pathway.

Get licensed as an IMMAF-aligned coach, referee, or official. Access certification programmes.
